Vet Money Guide explains VA disability pay, military retirement and veteran benefits with real math and official sources, so you can see exactly what your benefits are worth and plan around them.
Who runs it
Vet Money Guide is run by CPT Figueroa, a U.S. Army veteran who served from 2007 to 2017. The goal is simple: give veterans and military families clear numbers, worked out step by step, instead of rumors from the barracks or a Facebook group.
How we check the numbers
- Rates come from VA.gov, DFAS and the law itself (Title 38 of the U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations). Every guide links its sources at the end.
- Future numbers, like 2027 rates before VA publishes them, are always labeled as estimates, with the method shown.
- Our calculators are tested against VA’s own worked examples.
- When rates change, we update the page and the date at the top.
What we are not
We are not the VA, not DoD, and not a law firm. This is education, not legal or financial advice. For help with your own claim, use a free VA-accredited representative. You can find one with VA’s Find a Representative tool. Read our disclosures for how the site makes money.
Videos
Every guide has a matching video on YouTube at @VetMoneyGuide. Videos are narrated with a labeled AI voice so we can publish more often, and every number on screen is checked the same way as on the site.
